Mr. Sellers: January 2008 Archives

Starting on Friday, January 18, all Latin One students should bring the blue Ecce Romani IB textbook and workbook to class.  At this point, the red Ecce Romani IA textbook and workbook may be kept at home, but they should NOT be discarded.  We will probably return to some of the summative IA workbook activities later.

This team will consist of Latin Three, Latin Four, and Latin Five students.  Practice will begin Wednesday, January 16 at 2:20 PM in US 216.  (Lower School students interested in Certamen should contact Mr. Suddarth.)

The outside reading assignment for Latin Three students this quarter is "Pompeii" by Robert Harris.  The book test will be on or around February 14.

The National Latin Exam is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5 at 2:20 PM.  This is required for all Upper School Latin students.  Lower School students qualifying to take the exam have been notified.

All NLE participants need to print off the "NLE Culture Review" packet and the NLE syllabi from the "Handouts" section of my web page.  Keep these in your notebook; we will go over them periodically in class.
