About MUS Latin
Latin has been an integral part of the MUS curriculum since 1893, and MUS Latin students work hard to maintain a tradition of academic excellence. Click here for our page on the main MUS school website.

Recent Results from the Tennessee Junior Classical League State Convention:
2009 -- 1st place overall (out of 30 schools)
2010 -- 1st place overall (out of 27 schools)
2011 -- 1st place overall (out of 33 schools)
Since 1990, MUS has won 1st place overall at this statewide competition 14 times.
Recent Results from the National Latin Exam:
2009 -- 79 Gold Medals
2010 -- 86 Gold Medals
2011 -- 85 Gold Medals
Over 150,000 students take the NLE each year. Generally speaking, a Summa Cum Laude Gold Medal is awarded to students whose scores place them in the top 10% in the nation. Since 2007, MUS has been number one out of all schools in metro Memphis (public and private) in the total number of Gold Medals awarded.
Recent Results from the Advanced Placement Latin Exam:
2009 -- 100% of students scored a 3 or above
2010 -- 100% of students scored a 3 or above
2011 -- 100% of students scored a 3 or above (18 of 19 students scored a 4 or 5)
