I recently read "A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". It's a great read, and isn't real difficult, or long. I recommend it for anyone who doesn't have much spare time on his hands, but enjoys satirical science fiction.
If you've read and enjoyed The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, you might want to try a new trilogy by Tennessean Jonathan Rogers. The Bark of the Bog Owl, The Secret of the Swamp King, and The Way of the Wilderking are three novels loosely based on the biblical story of David, but with entirely different settings, characters, and details. The dialogue is funny, and the action is fast-paced. I'm not finished with the first book yet, but so far I've laughed out loud several times and have found the characters to be strong and believable.
