Using Templates
Templates can save time for you. After you set one up, you will always have a clean version of a document without having to recreate the basic information. There are many templates that other teachers or companies have created that are free and available for your use.

Save a Template
Open or create a new document and after adjusting it for your use, save it as a template by going to File/Save As. Change the name to something descriptive and change the Document Type to a document template.

Open a Template
The next time you need to use the document template, go to File/New and click on your template.

Additional Information
You can create subfolders in the Templates folder, if needed. If you need to delete a template, click File, New and right-click the template you need to delete. Choose Delete from the menu.

Links to Templates:
I have provided links to many templates below. Some of these templates (as well as additional ones) are saved in the Public Folder on the MUS network inside a folder named Templates.

This document has been set up to use Form fields. The tab key moves you between form fields when filling in the matching quiz information.

If you need to make changes to the basic template, you will need to follow the instructions below. If you are comfortable with opening a new toolbar, follow the instructions below. If not, skip this template.

1. Save it to your Desktop (or some other convenient place) as a regular Word document (doc extension)
2. Open it and click the Tools menu and Unprotect Document.
3. Make any changes you need
4. Turn on the Forms toolbar and click the Lock
4. Save it as a Template (File, Save As and choose Document Template).
5. Delete the copy that is on your Desktop.

If you need to do any more editing on the template, you will need to Unlock it first. After you have finished your editing, lock it back.

Terry does not eliminate the extra numbers if he has a shorter quiz, but  you can delete them if you wish.

Sorted Version of Shelton's Matching Quiz - Check this page out if you would like a version of Shelton's quiz that you can sort. By using sorting, questions can be entered next to the correct answer, saved as a key and then sorted and saved as the quiz.
