Word 2003 To align numbers on the decimal point, go to the Format menu and select Bullets and Numbering. Select the Numbered tab and choose the format you want for your numbers. Before clicking OK, click the Customize button. Under the Number position, choose Right from the dropdown list. If you have a problem in the future, go to Format, Bullets and Numbering, Numbered tab and choose the new format that you created above. If you are not sure which one is right aligned on the decimal, click Customize and you will be able to see the settings for your selection. Word 2010
Click the arrow to the right of the number
button and choose Define new number format.
Under the Number position, choose Right from the dropdown list. If you are not sure what the formatting is on a number format, select it and click the down arrow to get to the Define new number format option. You will be able to see the settings for your selection.
