Numbers Lined Up on the Decimal Point

Do the automatic numbers you create in Microsoft Word

look like this?

and you want them to look like this?

To align numbers on the decimal point, go to the Format menu and select Bullets and Numbering. Select the Numbered tab and choose the format you want for your numbers.  Before clicking OK, click the Customize button. Under the Number position, choose Right from the dropdown list.

If you have a problem in the future, go to Format, Bullets and Numbering, Numbered tab and choose the new format that you created above. If you are not sure which one is right aligned on the decimal, click Customize and you will be able to see the settings for your selection.
