Office 2010

Toolbar Button for Diacritics (Accents, etc.)

To Add the Language button go to

         File, Options, Customize Ribbon.

You will need to create a Custom Group first.

Below the list on the right, find the New Group button. After it is created, click it and the Rename button. In the image below, I created a new group on the Home tab called Language.

Next change the Choose command from box on the left from Popular Commands to  All Commands.

Scroll down and find Language in the list on the left. (the one without an “A icon”.)

Click the Add button and click OK.

When you go to your Word document on your Home tab, you will now see a Language button. Click the arrow to the right of English to choose your language.

If the Spanish (Spain) is selected, typing ? at the beginning of a sentence will produce the appropriate symbol.

example:      ¿Cómo se llama?

Remember to switch the language button back to English when you are through.

You can use different languages within the same document.
