Fast Slideshow
Note: Slide Show Options Slide advancement – automatically, or set # of
seconds To Play MP3 files (background music) You can just hit Play if all you want to do is show the slideshow Save as Exe (for portability) Burn to CD – Data CD or Video CD (VCD) - Requires
Nero Burning (costs, but free demo) Text in a Slideshow Don’t use the option in the slideshow window. It will show the same text on each slide. If you want to add text as an introduction to a page or the slideshow, experiment with the following: ¨ Go to the Image menu, Create New empty) image ¨ Set the size and color (ex. 800 wide x 600 high and blue background) ¨ Select an area in the center by clicking and dragging ¨ Edit menu, Insert Text ¨ Choose the font style, size, and color (I choose transparent, Franklin Gothic, 36, white) ¨ Click OK ¨ Type the text ¨ Click OK ¨ Click anywhere outside of the box to remove the selection box. ¨ If you do not like your choices, click the Undo button and try again. ¨ For fun try the buttonize effect – Image menu, Effects, 3D Button ¨ Save the image as JPG and/or GIF and add it to your slideshow |

Prepare images before starting the slideshow Photo Editing
Zoom in, select the eye, click Image menu, Redeye reduction

Resolution If you have high resolution images, you can reduce the resolution so that it still appears correctly in a PowerPoint or on the web, but does not bloat your file size.
After the conversion and you click Exit, you will get a blank IrfanView screen. |

Thumbnails To show Thumbnails in a separate window, click File, Thumbnails, navigate to the folder you wish to display Click Open and notice as you click once on an image file, a thumbnail and file information is shown in the window. Rename Batch Conversion/Rename Print a Contact Sheet
