A. Genitive Case: The genitive case shows possession or ownership. (Only the
genitive is new on this chart.)
1. In English ownership can
be expressed two ways: a. by using "of" the tunic
of the slave b. by using a possessive form ('s or
s') the slave's
tunic 2. In Latin ownership can be expressed only
one way--by using the genitive case of the noun. Ex. tunica servi the
slave's tunic tunicae servorum the slaves' tunics B. Nouns: From this point on, whenever a noun is given in the vocabulary,
